Adani Wind's 5.2 MW Wind Turbine Receives Global Certification

Ahmedabad– Adani Wind, the wind energy solutions division of Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), proudly announced today that its 5.2 MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG), the largest in India, has achieved type certification from WindGuard GmbH. This prestigious certification marks a significant milestone and green light for Adani Wind to commence series production for global markets. The certification, issued under the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications (IECRE), underscores the impeccable quality, safety, and international recognition of Adani Wind's flagship turbine.

The type certification serves as a testament to Adani WTG's alignment with globally recognized IEC 61400 series standards and regulations governing design, testing, and manufacturing in the wind energy sector. Rigorous testing and verification were conducted on the WTG prototype, located at Mundra, Gujarat.

These attributes collectively establish it as one of the most potent onshore wind turbines in the world. Notably, this 5.2 MW WTG is a result of Adani Wind's collaboration with W2E Wind to Energy GmbH, Germany.
