Viksit Bharat @2047 Vision Takes Center Stage at DTU's Transformative Faculty Program

Delhi Teachers University, established by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. under Delhi Act 02 of 2022 and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under 2 (A), successfully concluded a transformative One-Week Faculty Development & Enrichment Program. The event, titled "विकसित भारत @2047 के आलोक में भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा के नूतन आयाम," took place from 8th to 12th January 2024.

The distinguished program witnessed the participation of 100 educators and researchers from various corners of the country. Inaugurated on 8th January by Professor Hrushikesh Senapaty, a renowned figure in the field of education and former Director of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), the One-Week Faculty Development Program aimed to explore new dimensions of Indian knowledge system.

The valedictory function, held on 12th January, featured Prof Chand Kiran Saluja as the chief guest. Prof Saluja, an accomplished expert on Education & Bharatiya Shiksha, commended the university's efforts in organizing such an impactful event. He emphasized the necessity of conducting such training programs regularly, stating that they are essential for educators to comprehend our rich cultural heritage. Prof Saluja also highlighted the unique opportunity the Faculty Development Program provided for educators to align their teaching methodologies with the ethos of the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative. He underlined our rich ancient tradition of education dating back to the Vedic age.

In his address, Vice Chancellor (DeTU) Prof. Dhananjay Joshi highlighted the importance of the Indian knowledge system. During the valedictory session, he launched a Certificate course titled "Pedagogies of School Education."

The participants expressed their satisfaction with the content, delivery, and presentation of the topics covered throughout the program. Ms. Trishala Bhaskar and Dr. Sonal Chabra, who consistently coordinated and interacted with the participants, played instrumental roles in encouraging and motivating them. The Organizing Team's collective efforts ensured the program's success, creating an enriching experience. The programme was organised under the leadership of Dhananjay Joshi VC

of DTU.
