‘Invest in Punjab, Govt Will Provide Full Support’: CM Bhagwant Mann at Investors’ Summit in Mohali
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann invited global investors to invest in the state while addressing the closing session of the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit in Mohali, assuring full government support, incentives and a review of projects after six months.
Mohali: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday called upon national and global entrepreneurs to invest in the state, assuring them of full government support, policy incentives and a conducive business environment. Addressing industry leaders at the concluding session of the three-day Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit in Mohali, the Chief Minister said the state government was committed to7 making Punjab a leading destination for industrial growth and investment.
Mann said the summit witnessed enthusiastic participation from business leaders, policy experts and investors, reflecting renewed confidence in Punjab’s economic potential. He announced that the government would hold a follow-up review meeting with investors after six months to evaluate the progress of projects and proposals discussed during the summit.
The Chief Minister said around 30 sector-specific sessions were held during the three-day event, covering key areas including manufacturing, information technology, pharmaceuticals and emerging technologies. These discussions, he noted, would significantly contribute to strengthening Punjab’s industrial ecosystem and generating employment opportunities for the youth.
“Punjab’s progress is our resolve. We have created the right environment and opportunities for industry to grow,” Mann said, adding that the government was focused on accelerating development while ensuring transparency, accountability and ease of doing business.
Highlighting the state’s strengths, the Chief Minister said Punjab had a strong manufacturing base and a globally recognised entrepreneurial community. He urged investors to become active partners in the state’s economic transformation and help create new job opportunities that would encourage young people to build their careers within the state.
Mann also emphasised that the state government had addressed several governance challenges inherited from previous administrations. “We inherited debt, complaints and pending issues, but we have worked to correct those shortcomings and put Punjab back on the path of development,” he said.
The Chief Minister said the government’s primary focus remained employment generation and industrial expansion. Encouraging investors to promote Punjab as a preferred investment destination, he said industrialists should act as ambassadors of the state and share its advantages — including skilled human resources, strong infrastructure and a favourable business climate — with global partners.
Referring to the spirit of the people of Punjab, Mann said the state had always played a key role in the country’s growth and development. He added that Punjabis were known worldwide for their resilience, enterprise and dedication to hard work.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the initiatives taken by the government would place Punjab on a high growth trajectory and transform it into a major industrial and export hub in the coming years.
He also congratulated Invest Punjab and government officials for successfully organising the summit and thanked industry leaders for their participation and commitment to the state’s growth story.
Cabinet Ministers Sanjeev Arora, Harbhajan Singh ETO and Barinder Goyal, along with Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, were also present on the occasion and addressed the gathering.
