The teaser drops today at 12:12 PM, building anticipation for the high-octane continuation of the counter-terrorism saga.
Dark and Intense First Look
The poster, drenched in deep red tones, features Ranveer standing rain-soaked with a fierce, unflinching expression. Behind him, "THE REVENGE" is carved into a blood-red wall, setting an ominous mood for the sequel.
"Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai," Ranveer captioned the reveal, announcing the film's release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Plot Continues Underground Operation
'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' resumes with Hamza Ali Mazhari, the Indian undercover agent who successfully infiltrated Pakistan's underworld in the first film. After eliminating Rehman Dakait and ascending through criminal power structures, Hamza now faces his most formidable adversary—Major Iqbal, the ISI mastermind known as "Bade Sahab."
Star-Studded Cast Returns
The franchise features R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal alongside Ranveer. The first installment centered on a covert operation to dismantle terror networks targeting India, drawing inspiration from real events including the IC-814 hijacking, 2001 Parliament attack, and 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Production Details
Director Aditya Dhar writes, directs, and produces the sequel alongside Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The B62 Studios production is presented by Jio Studios.
Dhar and Ranveer teased the announcement Monday with a cryptic "Tomorrow 12:12" post on Instagram.
