Bihar Expands Jeevika Didi's Kitchen to All Government Offices for Women's Employment

Jeevika Didi's kitchen will be operated in all the block-cum-anchal offices of Bihar, sub-divisional offices and collectorates at the district level. In a meeting of the State Cabinet held on Tuesday, approval was given to provide all the necessary infrastructure for operating the Jeevika Didi's kitchen in these government offices.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department S Siddharth said that by operating the Jeevika Didi's kitchen in the block-cum-anchal offices, sub-divisional offices and collectorates at the district level, quality food will be available to the employees working there and the people coming to these offices from far-flung areas. Along with this, women of self-help groups will be able to get sustainable employment, which will enhance the capacity of women and increase their income.
