Central Hindi Institute Director Drops ‘Honourable’ Title as Complaints Mount, Fresh Appointment Process Begins
Allegations over certificates and appointment procedures put Sunil Baburao Kulkarni under scrutiny as the Ministry of Education invites applications for Director’s post in Agra
The Director of the Central Hindi Institute, Sunil Baburao Kulkarni, has stopped using the title “Honourable” with his designation. This correction has been made after revelations published in Illustrated Daily News and Kadwa Satya. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde has been invited to inaugurate the ILA conference at the Central Hindi Institute campus in Agra, reportedly with the intention of improving the institute’s tarnished image. However, the situation appears to have gone out of control, and Mr. Kulkarni does not seem to be getting any relief.
According to sources in the Ministry of Education in Delhi, the number of complaints against Mr. Kulkarni is continuously increasing. The issue regarding allegations of fake certificates against him appears to be gaining momentum.
The Ministry of Education has invited applications to fill the Director’s post at the Agra headquarters. Sources say Mr. Kulkarni is using every possible effort to secure the Director’s position again. On the other hand, the allegations against Mr. Kulkarni are said to be troubling Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as well. During Mr. Kulkarni’s previous appointment, the minister had reportedly not signed the relevant note sheet of the file. The absence of the chairman’s signature is also raising questions about Mr. Kulkarni’s earlier appointment as Director.
