No Compromise on Road Quality: RCD Secretary Orders Statewide Flying Squad Inspections in Bihar

Road Construction Department Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pal directs strict, transparent checks across Bettiah, Araria, Kochas and Supaul; warns of legal action over substandard work.

Secretary of the Road Construction Department, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Pal, held a high-level meeting with the Flying Squad team in the departmental auditorium today. The primary objective of the meeting was to assess the actual quality of the state's roads and ensure prompt action on the increasing public complaints.

 

The Secretary stated in the meeting that the department will not tolerate any compromise on road quality. He gave clear instructions to the Flying Squad team to ensure that all road construction inspections are conducted with complete fairness and transparency. They should not conduct inspections under pressure or influence from any contractor or other individual. The team was directed to thoroughly examine sample testing, design, drainage systems, and material quality.

He clearly stated that if any irregularities are found during the inspection, such as poor quality, substandard materials, lack of thickness, time-limit violations, or other irregularities, immediate departmental and legal action will be taken against the culprits. The Flying Squad team was directed to immediately initiate intensive inspections on all major roads in Bihar, including Bettiah, Araria, Kochas, and Supaul. The department will not compromise on the quality of roads. He stressed on quality road construction, maintenance, and timeliness.
