Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Announces ₹10 Lakh Reward for Asia Cup-Winning Indian Hockey Team
Support staff to receive ₹5 lakh each as Rajgir hosts Asia Cup 2025; CM hails victory as inspiration for youth and sporting excellence.
Congratulating the Indian hockey team for winning the Asia Cup 2025 title, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced an award of Rs 10 lakh to each of the championship-winning squad.
On his social media account, Kumar said that every member of the support staff of the team will be awarded with Rs 5 lakh each.
He said that the Indian hockey team has made the nation proud by clinching the Asia Cup 2025 title, hosted for the first time at the State Sports Academy-cum-Bihar Sports University campus in Rajgir.
To celebrate this remarkable victory, Kumar said that his government has announced special cash rewards for the team to encourage players, boost morale and promote sporting excellence in the country.
Extending congratulations, Kumar conveyed its best wishes to the Indian hockey team for future tournaments and expressed confidence that this achievement will inspire young athletes across Bihar and the nation.
