Jeffrey Epstein Case Reignites Storm as US Justice Department Releases Massive Cache of Files
Freshly released documents linked to the late financier feature photographs and references to global celebrities and political figures, reopening debate while authorities clarify no new criminal charges so far.
The Jeffrey Epstein case has once again created a stir in the United States. The US Justice Department released nearly 300,000 documents related to this highly-publicized investigation late Friday night (around 2:30 AM Indian time). These files include photographs and documents of many prominent figures in the United States and the world, sparking heated discussions in political and social circles.

The released documents reveal photographs of several influential figures, including former US President Bill Clinton, pop star Michael Jackson, Hollywood actor Chris Tucker, and Britain's Prince Andrew. Some of the photographs show Clinton with women at pool parties and private events. However, the exact time and location of many of the photographs are unclear.

The Justice Department stated that these files were initially released in four sets, and a few hours later, another set was made public. The total includes over 3,500 files, with a data volume exceeding 2.5 GB. Experts say it is difficult to immediately assess the impact of such a large release of documents, as much information related to Epstein has already been revealed.

The government has also clarified that some documents have not yet been released. The reason given is that some cases are still under investigation or are related to national security.

The celebrities whose images or names have surfaced so far include Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Oprah Winfrey, Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, and billionaire Richard Branson.
It is worth noting that Jeffrey Epstein was a financier and convicted sex offender who died in a New York prison in 2019. On November 18, US President Donald Trump signed a law ordering all documents related to Epstein to be made public within 30 days. These files have now been revealed under this order.
A victim's statement in these documents has also drawn attention. In a civil lawsuit, the woman alleged that she was recruited by Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell as a teenager and later taken to the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where she met Donald Trump. However, the documents clarify that Trump faces no criminal charges.
At present, it will take time to analyze such a large volume of files released. The world is keeping an eye on what further revelations these documents make in the coming days.
