Arvind Kejriwal is Set to Take the Vote of Confidence in the Delhi Assembly

The trust vote, proposed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, will be moved in the House today over allegations that the BJP was trying to topple the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the state capital. A special session of the Delhi Assembly on Monday (August 29, 2022) is likely to witness a raucous clash between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition BJP when the House will be presented with a trust vote proposal from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Amid allegations that the BJP was trying to topple the AAP government in the capital, Arvind Kejriwal will face the majority test today. The trust vote was proposed by the AAP chief to prove that there were no defections in his party after he launched a scathing attack on the BJP on Friday, alleging that his legislators were offered Rs 20 crore each by the party to switch parties. In a furious attack on the BJP, Kejriwal on Friday alleged that the opposition party's '
Operation Lotus'
to topple his government had failed as it failed to woo any of the AAP MLAs. Kejriwal further said that the BJP has toppled "several governments in the country so far". The governments of Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Assam, MP, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Meghalaya have all been ousted thus far. There is a serial killer in the city who commits one murder.
