Due to this, the addiction of online gaming is increasing in children. In such a situation, the Ministry of Education has issued an advisory to protect the children associated with the schools. In this, parents and teachers have been alerted about this. Along with this, it has been advised to keep a close watch on children while working on the Internet, mobile or computer.

Recently, many such incidents have come to the fore, in which due to the online gaming addiction of children, the entire bank account of the family was cleared by cyber criminals. Vicious criminals get confidential information by engaging in online games with children. Then committed the crime. Not only this, a lot of side effects of online games are also being seen on the health of children. The Department of School Education, affiliated to the Ministry of Education, issued this advisory on Friday at a time when children’s dependence on online education has increased. It has been said in the advisory that the structure of online gaming is such that even once a child enters fraudulently, then it is difficult to exit. In such a situation, parents need to be very careful.It has been said in the advisory that your child should try to study through the same computer or laptop that is used by the family members. In the advisory, teachers have been advised to alert the children about the use of internet etc. and to take care of their behavior etc. while teaching online. If anything suspicious is found, instructions have been given to inform the school administration immediately.

Advice to avoid these things

– Do not allow in-game purchases without parental consent. The process of OTP based payment can be adopted to avoid in app purchases.

– Avoid registering for credit and debit cards on the app for membership. Set an upper limit on the expense per transaction.

– Advise children not to download software and games from unknown websites.

– Tell them to beware of clicking on links, pictures and sin-ups in websites.

Advise them not to give personal information on the Internet while downloading the game.

-They should never share personal information on gaming profiles. Advise them not to engage in sports for a long time.

Do this when something goes wrong

-If something goes wrong while playing online game then stop immediately and take a screenshot. Then report it.

-Help protect the child’s privacy. Ask them to use a screen name (like avatar etc.).

-If a stranger tries to start a conversation about something inappropriate, ask the parent to tell.

-Encourage not to respond in case of bullying and keep a record of disturbing messages. Report or block the behavior to the game site administrator.

-Play with your child and get a better understanding of how they are handling their personal information.
