In a shocking revelation, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Maharashtra has reportedly unearthed a serious health violation at a McDonald's outlet in Ahemadnagar. The discovery points to the use of counterfeit cheese in the burgers served, posing a severe health risk to unsuspecting consumers. Traders’ body, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has swiftly responded, urging the government to impose an immediate nationwide ban on McDonald's operations.

The grave nature of this violation has prompted CAIT National President B C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal to call upon Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, Rohit Kumar Singh, and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to take decisive action.
