Gujarat CM Launches 'Amul AI' to Integrate Artificial Intelligence into Dairy Cooperative Network

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday launched a transformative initiative 'Amul AI' in Anand, the milk capital of India. The initiative aims to provide a new digital direction to the dairy industry by integrating Artificial Intelligence into the cooperative framework.
The launch marks a significant technological upgrade for the world's largest dairy cooperative network.
Addressing a massive gathering, Chief Minister Patel stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership, Amul AI will serve as a significant milestone in making the agriculture, animal husbandry, and dairy sectors both modern and self-reliant.
"The powerful combination of government support, cooperative spirit, and advanced technology has accelerated the pace of development in the state," the CM emphasized.
Amul represents a massive cooperative network spanning:
- Over 36 lakh milk producers
- 18,500 villages across Gujarat
The cooperative is now transitioning from traditional data management to an integrated AI-driven system, marking a technological leap in how India's dairy sector operates.
Chief Minister Patel remarked that this technological advancement, combined with recent global trade agreements, positions India to rapidly move toward becoming the "Dairy of the World."
The AI integration is expected to enhance efficiency in milk collection, quality testing, supply chain management, and farmer payments across the vast cooperative network.
The launch event was attended by Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary, Agriculture Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, and other senior dignitaries.
The initiative aligns with the government's broader push to modernize traditional sectors through technology adoption while maintaining the cooperative structure that has made Amul a global success story.
