In a daring operation, Delhi Police traffic staff apprehended two armed robbers involved in a snatch-and-grab incident at Dilshad Garden on Wednesday. The accused opened fire during the chase, but the traffic personnel managed to overpower and detain them.
According to police sources, SI Sanjeev and Ct. Rahul Nain of Shahdara Traffic Circle were deployed at Chintamani Chowk when a local resident, Shiva Thakur, informed them about the robbery. The traffic staff swiftly sprang into action, signaling the robbers to stop.
When the accused attempted to flee, Ct. Rahul showed exceptional bravery by striking the motorcycle with his leg, causing the duo to fall. During the scuffle, accused Imran fired at SI Sanjeev, who sustained minor injuries. Despite the threat, SI Sanjeev managed to overpower and apprehend Imran.
