K.R. Mangalam University Hosts NSS Orientation Day to Motivate Youth for Community Service

K.R. Mangalam University, in collaboration with Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, successfully organized the NSS Orientation Day on the theme “Youth Power in Nation Building: Self Before Service.” The event welcomed newly enrolled NSS volunteers and encouraged them to actively contribute to social and community development initiatives.
The program was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Ms. Delina Khongdup, Member of the National Commission for Women; Justice Dharmesh Sharma, former Judge, Delhi High Court; Shri Raghuveer Singh, Vice-Chancellor, KRMU; Shri Vijay Gaur, Chairperson, Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti; Dr. Neerja Chaturvedi, RJ, FM Rainbow Aakashwani; and social activist Shri Avinash Jali.
Ms. Delina Khongdup highlighted the significance of gender equality and social responsibility, while Justice Dharmesh Sharma emphasized ethical leadership and the critical role of NSS in shaping responsible citizens. Vijay Gaur spoke on collective responsibility and community participation, and Dr. Neerja Chaturvedi inspired students to use their voices to create social impact.
An award ceremony recognized the exceptional contributions of NSS volunteers. Newly elected leaders, including Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Group Leaders, received certificates, marking the beginning of their journey as change-makers.
Dr. Neeraj Kumari, NSS Program Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks and was honored with a memento from Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti for her exemplary initiative in the Village Awareness Project, aimed at fostering awareness and community engagement at the grassroots level.
The NSS Orientation Day proved to be a motivating platform for students, inspiring them to embrace social responsibility, volunteerism, and leadership for a better and inclusiv
e society.
