Empowering Communities: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra's Transformative Impact Across Assam

Guwahati - The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues its transformative journey, making a significant impact across Assam. Today, the Yatra reached Langsomepi Development Block in Karbi Anglong and Daolabri in Kokrajhar district, alongside an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) VAN that reached Betabari under Baksa district.

The IEC campaign vans served as comprehensive showcases for flagship schemes and programs spanning nine years. The event drew numerous beneficiaries who shared their perspectives on the government's initiatives. In a notable collaboration, Oil India Limited established a facility center at Baksa, providing on-the-spot connections to beneficiaries. This collaboration further emphasizes the Yatra's commitment to facilitating immediate and tangible benefits.

Launched on 15th November 2023 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, coinciding with "Birsa Munda Jayanti – Jan-jaati Gaurav Diwas," the Yatra's IEC Vans began their journey from tribal districts. The initiative aims to expand its reach, covering all districts from November 2023 to January 2024.

The Yatra's overarching goal is to deliver essential services to eligible beneficiaries, spanning sanitation facilities, financial services, electricity connections, housing for the underprivileged, food security, nutrition, healthcare, clean drinking water, to quality education. With a focus on creating awareness and ensuring the last-mile delivery of benefits, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues to empower communities across Assam, leaving a lasting positive impact on the lives of its residents.
