Alia Bhatt Joins Durga Puja Celebrations with Rani Mukerji and Kajol's Family

Actor Alia Bhatt joined the festive spirit as she visited the Durga Puja pandal organised by the families of Rani Mukerji and Kajol in Mumbai on Wednesday. Dressed in a traditional yellow lehenga paired with a white blouse, Alia looked radiant as she offered prayers, mingled with fellow celebrities, and soaked in the Navratri celebrations.

Keeping her look elegant and minimal, Alia wore her hair loose and accessorised with statement earrings. The actor was seen smiling and posing for pictures in front of the idol of Goddess Durga. She also caught up with Rani Mukerji and the two shared a few light-hearted moments — at one point, Alia accidentally stepped on Rani’s sari, and both giggled over the incident.

Later, Alia took out her phone and clicked a selfie with Rani, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji — who directed her in Brahmastra — and Tanisha Mukerji, Kajol’s sister. The vibe at the pandal was festive and warm, with celebrities and families coming together to celebrate the occasion with devotion and camaraderie.

The Durga Puja celebrations, hosted annually by the Mukerji family, have become a star-studded affair. This year has been no different. Over the past few days, several Bollywood personalities including Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Sushmita Sen, and Ranbir Kapoor have visited the pandal to offer their prayers. Ranbir, who recently celebrated his 43rd birthday, was spotted there just a day before Alia's visit.

On the work front, Alia was last seen in Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, which released in 2024. Her next big-screen outing is Alpha, co-starring Sharvari, and part of Yash Raj Films’ expanding Spyverse. The film is scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release and is expected to bring another action-packed addition to the franchise.

Alia will also appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film Love & War, where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force, the epic saga has been in production across Rajasthan throughout the year and promises a gripping narrative.
