Atlee’s Sci-Fi Spectacle AA22 x A6 Gathers Buzz as Ranveer Singh Praises Director’s Vision
After the roaring success of Jawan, director Atlee is back in the spotlight with his next big venture — AA22 x A6, a sci-fi action film starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film is already making waves for its star-studded cast and ambitious scale, and now it has received high praise from none other than Ranveer Singh.
At a recent launch event for Ching’s advertisement — which was also directed by Atlee and features Ranveer alongside Bobby Deol and Sreeleela — the Gully Boy actor spoke fondly about his long-standing admiration for the filmmaker. “Before Jawan made him a household name and the biggest director in India, I had messaged Atlee after watching Mersal. I told him, ‘Sir, I love your cinema. You should come to Mumbai, and we should make some movies together.’ I’ve always wanted to work with him,” Ranveer said.
Ranveer also revealed he recently visited the set of AA22 x A6, where his wife Deepika Padukone is shooting. “He’s creating something you’ve never seen in Indian cinema before,” he said, calling the film a visual and cinematic breakthrough. “Working with Atlee and his super team, especially being in front of G.K. Vishnu’s lens, is an absolute delight.”
Atlee himself has confirmed that AA22 x A6 is unlike anything he’s done before. In an earlier interview, he described the film as “very new, intriguing, and addictive to watch.” He also shared that the film involves collaboration with Hollywood technicians, who reportedly find the project technically challenging — a sign of its international ambition.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, AA22 x A6 was officially announced on Allu Arjun’s 43rd birthday. The film will be Allu Arjun’s big-screen return after Pushpa 2: The Rule. Deepika Padukone is said to be playing a high-octane, action-heavy role in the film.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is awaiting the release of Dhurandhar, an upcoming spy thriller releasing on December 5. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun.
