Babil Khan Returns to Instagram After Meltdown, Thanks Siddhant, Ananya & Others

Actor Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan Khan, returned to Instagram on May 4, just hours after deactivating his account following a viral emotional video. The actor addressed the incident in a post, stating that the video had been “extremely misinterpreted” and was actually intended to show support for his friends in the industry.
In the first post after returning to Instagram, Babil re-shared a story by actor Kubbra Sait, which included a statement from his family addressing concerns about his well-being. The statement emphasized that, like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days however, he is safe and recovering.
Babil thanked several friends for standing by him, including Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Gaurav Adarsh, Raghav Juyal, and Arijit Singh. He specifically expressed admiration for Raghav Juyal, calling him “my icon, my idol, and the elder brother I never had.”
Reposting a message from Gaurav Adarsh, Babil wrote, “Thank you bhai. Aadhi zindagi misunderstanding mein hi guzar jaati hai, lekin asli doston ka saath dil ko shuddh rakkhe, yeh hi iccha hai.” He also shared a smiling throwback photo with Juyal and Chaturvedi.
Previously, in now-deleted videos, Babil had criticized the Bollywood industry, calling it the “fakest.” The strong reactions prompted concern among fans and fellow actors, leading to a supportive wave across social media.
His family acknowledged the emotional nature of the moment, attributing it to a difficult day in his mental health journey, and affirmed that he would return soon—an assurance that has now been fulfilled with his return and messages of gratitude.
