Bombay High Court Grants Palash Muchhal Interim Relief in ₹10 Crore Defamation Case

Singer Palash Muchhal has received a major reprieve from the Bombay High Court. The court granted him interim relief in a ₹10 crore defamation case. The Bombay High Court has ordered Vidyan Mane, who accused him of fraud in the case, to be immediately restrained from making or publishing any statements against him during the dispute.

The case came to light a few months ago when, after the annulment of Palash Muchhal's marriage to Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, Vidyan Mane made serious allegations on social media and in the media. Mane claimed that Palash had been cheating on him during their marriage and was caught red-handed with another woman. He also alleged that Palash had defrauded him of ₹40 lakh and filed a complaint in Sangli.

During the hearing, the Bombay High Court stated that such allegedly defamatory statements can seriously damage a person's reputation and dignity. The court issued an immediate order restraining Mane from making or publishing any statements against Palash until further legal action is completed.

Reacting to the decision, Palash's lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, stated that this decision is a significant and major relief for his client. He explained that the court's order immediately stops false and defamatory claims and helps restore fairness to the controversy.

Palash Muchhal also, in his official statement, called Mane's allegations "misleading and baseless." He wrote via Instagram Stories that these allegations are only intended to damage his reputation and that legal action will be taken against them.
