Dhurandhar 2 Crosses Rs 1,067 Crore Worldwide In 8 Days, Overtakes Pathaan And Kalki

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has crossed Rs 1,067 crore in worldwide gross by Day 8, overtaking Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (Rs 1,050 crore) and Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 1,042 crore) to become the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time — while also becoming the only franchise in Indian cinema history where both parts have individually crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark worldwide.

The Aditya Dhar directorial earned over Rs 100 crore in each of its first three days domestically, closing its opening weekend with Rs 750 crore worldwide. Despite a 16 per cent dip on Wednesday, the film bounced back strongly on Thursday — Day 8 — with Rs 49.70 crore, pushing total domestic net collections to Rs 674.14 crore (Rs 805.32 crore gross). By the end of Day 8, the domestic net is widely expected to cross the Rs 700 crore barrier.

Overseas performance has been equally formidable. The film posted a $22 million opening weekend in North America alone, with cumulative North America gross now standing at $18.17 million — placing Dhurandhar 2 fourth among highest-grossing Indian films in the region, behind Kalki 2898 AD and Pathaan. The film is expected to surpass its predecessor Dhurandhar's North America total of $20.65 million before the end of the second weekend.

Having shattered 24 box office records since its March 19 release, Dhurandhar 2 now sets its sights on Jawan's Rs 1,100 crore worldwide gross — a milestone analysts expect it to breach on Day 9. The film's next landmark target is Yash's KGF Chapter 2, which holds a lifetime worldwide gross of Rs 1,224 crore.

The film stars Ranveer Singh alongside R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor.
