Dhurandhar 2 Trailer Dropping in First Week of March

The trailer for Dhurandhar 2, the high-stakes sequel to one of Bollywood's biggest recent blockbusters, is set to drop around March 5 — and if insider accounts are to be believed, it will raise the bar for Indian action cinema all over again.

Sources close to the production are emphatic that the sequel is no mere continuation. Built on a significantly larger canvas, the film reportedly pushes deeper into its characters, conflicts, and world-building than the original dared to. "The scale of the second part surpasses the first film in every aspect — from action to emotions and world-building. The team has expanded it like never before," revealed an insider, adding that the trailer will offer audiences a substantial window into the franchise's evolved universe, complete with fresh landscapes and darker narrative layers.

While spectacle will clearly be front and centre, insiders suggest the emotional and visual anchor of the trailer is Ranveer Singh's physical and dramatic transformation as Lyari's King. "His screen presence and physical transformation is being raved about internally. He brings a certain gravitas that will elevate the sequel to another level," the source noted. The promo has reportedly been edited to maximise impact without surrendering key plot details — building intrigue while delivering cinematic firepower.

The pressure on the sequel is immense — and the numbers explain why. Released on December 5, 2025, the original Dhurandhar completed a 75-day theatrical run with a domestic net collection of Rs 894.49 crore and 3.6 crore footfalls, making it the second most-watched Indian film in the post-pandemic era. Globally, it grossed Rs 1,354.84 crore — placing it just behind Dangal among the highest-grossing Bollywood films ever — while setting a new record for Bollywood earnings in North America at $20.65 million. Against a reported budget of Rs 225 crore, the film delivered profits of Rs 669.49 crore and a remarkable ROI of 297.55 percent, becoming a career-best for leads Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, as well as director Aditya Dhar.

With the trailer arriving in days and an Eid release on the horizon, Dhurandhar 2 is shaping up to be the most anticipated Bollywood event of 2026.
