The "Don" franchise may soon witness an unprecedented confluence of stardom, as murmurs grow louder that Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan are being courted for cameo appearances in Farhan Akhtar's "Don 3".

The celebrated filmmaker, who previously redefined the franchise with "Don" (2006) and Don 2 (2011) starring Shah Rukh Khan, is now reinventing the saga with Ranveer Singh stepping into the formidable shoes of the titular anti-hero. The original "Don" by Chandra Barot (1978), remains one of Hindi cinema's enduring classics.

Reports suggest that the makers have approached both Bachchan and Khan to appear in special cameos and discussions are underway. If finalised, "Don 3" would mark the first time the three stars - Bachchan, Khan and Singh, share the screen together.

Although no official confirmation has yet been issued, the very prospect of the triumvirate gracing the screen together has electrified cinephiles, ensuring that "Don 3" remains one of the most keenly followed films in the making.
