Farah Khan jokes about Jackky Bhagnani: "He used to have 10 floors, now only 5 are left!"

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, known for her quick wit, had everyone laughing recently with a cheeky comment about producer Jackky Bhagnani’s lavish home—and the high price of being in the film business.
In a fun moment during her latest cooking vlog, Farah was visibly impressed by Jackky’s sprawling house and joked to her cook Dilip, “Humko bhi producer banna hai!” (I want to become a producer too!) Jackky responded with a laugh, “Producer nahi banna, real estate karna.” (Don’t become a producer, go into real estate instead.)
Not one to miss a beat, Farah came back with a zinger: “Sorry haan, humko producer nahi banna hai, hum real estate karna hai, kyunki pehle inke 10 floor the, producer banne ke baad sirf 5 bache hain!” (Sorry, yes, not becoming a producer—real estate is better. He used to have 10 floors, now only 5 are left after becoming a producer!)
Her comment had everyone, including Jackky, his wife Rakul Preet Singh, and even her cook, laughing out loud.
Later in the vlog, the conversation turned serious as Jackky opened up about the struggles of his recent film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024), which didn’t perform well at the box office. He reflected on his father, veteran producer Vashu Bhagnani, and his resilience in the face of setbacks. Jackky shared that his father once sold saris on the footpath and has seen several ups and downs—including the 2002 flop Om Jai Jagadish. But through it all, he said, his father never gave up. “For him, the show must go on,” he said.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the Bhagnanis had to sell their seven-storey office building in Mumbai to help settle debts of around ₹250 crore. The high-budget action film, made at a cost of ₹350 crore and starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, earned just ₹111.5 crore globally—falling far short of expectations.
Despite the setback, the Bhagnanis’ story remains one of persistence—something Jackky seems to have inherited from his father.
