Housefull 5 Box Office Day 4: Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Clocks ₹160 Crore Worldwide

Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 is off to a flying start at the box office. Just four days in, and the film has already crossed the ₹100 crore mark in India — and it’s doing just as well overseas. According to Sacnilk, the film has now earned a whopping ₹160 crore worldwide.

In India alone, Housefull 5 has made ₹100.50 crore net and ₹120.50 crore gross so far. International audiences have added another ₹40 crore, taking the total global collection to ₹160 crore. The film’s team even reported a slightly higher domestic net figure of ₹104.98 crore — either way, it’s one of Akshay’s fastest hits in recent times.

With these numbers, Housefull 5 has already outperformed Akshay’s last release, Sky Force, which wrapped up with ₹149 crore worldwide. Next in its sights? Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which has made ₹184 crore globally. Interestingly, both films are produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

One thing that’s really clicked with the audience is the film’s unexpected "dual-climax" — a twist that’s kept viewers laughing and curious right till the end. Some are even heading back for a second watch. Thanks to that, Housefull 5 has landed at number four on the list of 2025’s highest-grossing Bollywood films. It’s just behind Sikandar, Raid 2, and Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster Chhaava, which is in a league of its own with a staggering ₹807.88 crore worldwide.

Akshay seems to be soaking in all the love. He recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from his dance rehearsals, writing:

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 features a star-studded lineup including Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangda Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever.

Set on a luxury cruise ship, the film follows a hilarious mystery where a group of imposters all show up claiming to be the son of a recently deceased billionaire — each one after his fortune. The chaos that follows is exactly the kind of over-the-top fun fans have come to expect from the Housefull franchise.
