K-drama star Kang Seo Ha, known for her role in Heart Surgeons, has died at 31 after a battle with cancer.

South Korean actor Kang Seo Ha has passed away at the age of 31 after a long battle with stomach cancer, confirmed by Soompi. She was known for her roles in popular K-Dramas like Schoolgirl Detectives, Assembly, First Love Again, and Through the Waves.

Her memorial altar has been set up in Room 8 at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, with her funeral procession scheduled for 7:40 AM on July 16. Kang Seo Ha will be laid to rest at her family’s burial site in Haman, Gyeongnam Province.

Honouring Kang Seo Ha's fortitude and compassion in spite of her illness, a touching video was posted on Instagram, by a family mebmer. The family said they hoped she was now at peace and pain-free. In addition, fans lamented her passing and offered their condolences.

Born in 1994, Kang Seo Ha graduated from the Korea National University of Arts’ School of Drama. She first gained attention in 2012 after appearing in the music video for Brave Guys’ Getting Farther Away. Her final work, the film Mangnaein, is set to be released soon, marking her last screen appearance.
