Marathi Actress Ruchita Jadhav Reveals She Was Invited by Powai Hostage Accused Rohit Arya for a Film Project

A new revelation has emerged regarding the shocking "hostage incident" that occurred in Mumbai on Thursday. A well-known Marathi film actress revealed that the accused, Rohit Arya, had invited her a few days ago for a film project. She said, "I shudder to think about that day." She also shared a screenshot of her WhatsApp chat with the accused on her social media handle. In an emotional Instagram post, Marathi actress Ruchita Jadhav revealed that Rohit Arya, who held 17 children, two women, and an elderly man hostage on Thursday, was the same person who had invited her for a film project a few weeks earlier. Following the actress's post, questions have now arisen as to whether the accused wanted to hold her hostage as well.
'The message came on October 4th' According to news agency PTI, the actress said that on October 4th, she received a message from a man named Rohit Arya. He introduced himself as a filmmaker and said he was making a film based on the hostage situation. According to Ruchita, she continued the conversation as an actress. Then, on October 23rd, Rohit asked her if she was available to meet on October 27th, 28th, or 29th. They had scheduled the meeting for October 28th.
'Shooting location sent, but...' Ruchita said that on October 27th, Rohit sent her the location of a studio in Powai and asked her to come the next morning. However, due to family reasons, she canceled the meeting. A few days later, on October 31st, she saw the news on TV that the same Rohit Arya had been killed after holding children hostage in Powai. She was shocked. 'Thank God and family, otherwise I would have been...' Ruchita wrote in her post, "When I saw that name, my heart sank. I shudder to think what would have happened if I had gone out that day. Thank God and my family for stopping me from going out that day." Ruchita concluded her post by saying that this incident will always remind her to be extremely cautious before meeting anyone new for work and to always inform her family and friends. What was the Powai hostage incident? It's worth noting that on Thursday afternoon, a man named Rohit Arya held 17 children, two women, and an elderly man hostage in a building called RA Studio in Mumbai's Powai area.
The Mumbai Police's Quick Response Team (QRT) rescued everyone safely after an hours-long operation, while Arya was killed in an encounter. Why was Rohit Arya angry? Previous records show that Rohit Arya had accused the Maharashtra government of stealing his concept and film. He claimed that the project "Majhi Shala, Sundar Shala" was based on his own idea and the film "Let's Change."
The government neither gave him credit nor paid him the outstanding amount of ₹2 crore. Rohit alleged that the government used his idea, script, and even the film's rights, but he was neither given credit nor paid. According to him, "They made me work and then denied my presence." Rohit protested against the Education Department and then-Minister Deepak Kesarkar several times, even fasting for a month. According to previous reports, the Minister had assured him that his demands would be met, but Joint Secretary Mahajan stalled the file, citing an investigation. Rohit had previously said, "If I don't get justice, the then Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Mangesh Shinde, Suraj Mandre, Tushar Mahajan, and Sameer Sawant will be responsible for my death."
