Palash Muchhal Sends ₹10-Crore Defamation Notice to Marathi Actor Over Fraud Allegations

Music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal has sent a legal notice to a Marathi actor, seeking damages of ₹10 crore for defamation for allegations of fraud leveled against him.
Earlier this week, 34-year-old actor-producer Vigyan Mane approached the police in Maharashtra's Sangli district, alleging that Muchhal had defrauded him of ₹40 lakh. Muchhal's lawyer, Shreyansh Mithre, claimed that the composer-filmmaker has not received any money. Muchhal's lawyer stated that the allegations are baseless and intended to defame him. "We have sent a legal notice to Mane, a resident of Sangli, seeking damages of ₹10 crore for defamation," he said.
Muchhal took to social media and wrote about the legal action taken against Mane. He alleged that Mane had deliberately made "false, derogatory, and highly defamatory allegations" with the intention of tarnishing his reputation and character. In his application to the Sangli Superintendent of Police, Mane demanded the registration of an FIR against Muchhal.
The complainant stated that Muchhal met him in Sangli on December 5, 2023. The complaint states that when Mane expressed interest in investing in film production, Muchhal suggested that he could invest as a producer in his upcoming project, "Nazariya." It is alleged that Muchhal told Mane that after the film's release on an OTT platform, he could earn a profit of ₹12 lakh on an investment of ₹25 lakh. He also offered him a role in the film.
The two met twice after this. It is alleged that Mane paid Muchhal a total of ₹40 lakh by March 2025. However, the project was not completed, so Mane demanded his money back but reportedly received no response. He then approached the Sangli police.
