Priyanka Chopra reveals how she tricked Nick Jonas' mom Denise Miller-Jonas into doing her laundry

Actor Priyanka Chopra might be a powerhouse in film and fashion, but when it comes to something as simple as laundry, she admits she struggles.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the 42-year-old star said, “Laundry is a hard chore for me. I find it tough. I’ll always try to get someone else to do it.”

She even shared a funny story about her mother-in-law, Denise Miller-Jonas, who once tried to teach her how to do laundry — though Priyanka says it was really just her clever way of getting Denise to do it for her!

While Priyanka feels comfortable ironing and folding clothes, she finds the actual washing process too complicated. “Too many buttons, too many choices, too many little things,” she explained.

After opening up about it, she joked that she’s planning to call her mother-in-law to let her know she shared the story. “I’m going to call her right now and say, ‘Just want you to know!’”

Priyanka and her husband, Nick Jonas, married in 2018, and she often shares sweet family moments on social media — including pictures with their 3-year-old daughter Malti Marie and Nick’s parents.

In a previous interview, Priyanka revealed that Nick’s family had actually watched her win Miss World in 2000. “My mother-in-law was like, ‘I remember watching you when you won,’” she said during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show last year.

On the work front, Priyanka stars in Heads of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba, now streaming on Prime Video. She also has an upcoming film, The Bluff, with Karl Urban.
