Rajpal Yadav Granted Interim Bail by Delhi High Court After ₹1.5 Crore Deposit

Actor Rajpal Yadav has finally been granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court. He had been in Tihar Jail for the past 11 days, where he was ordered to surrender in several check bounce cases. The court had previously given him until February 16th to deposit ₹1.5 crore (approximately $1.5 million), and the actor paid the amount, after which he was released from jail on Monday.

The Delhi High Court has ordered an interim suspension of his sentence. The court noted that ₹1.5 crore (approximately $1.5 million) has already been deposited in the defendant's account. Based on this, the bench suspended the sentence subject to certain conditions.

Rajpal Yadav has been directed to submit a personal bond of ₹1 lakh (approximately $1 million) and a surety of an equal amount. This interim relief will keep him out of jail until March 18th.

Earlier, during a hearing on February 16, the Delhi High Court had ordered Rajpal Yadav to pay ₹1.5 crore via demand draft. Following this order, actor Sonu Sood extended a helping hand. He wrote on Instagram regarding Rajpal Yadav's release, "Thanks to your prayers and unwavering support, the wait is almost over. Get ready, the laughter you've been missing so much is about to return to the screen. Stay tuned."

Meanwhile, his wife Radha Yadav expressed gratitude for the support of the industry and fans in an interview with the Bombay Times. She said, "Our entire family is united at this time. We are extremely happy for the love and support we have received from his fans and the film industry."

There was some speculation that several actors, including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgan, had paid off his debt. Radha Yadav stated that she could not name any names at the moment, but that many people had come forward to help. He expressed hope that Rajpal Yadav will come out soon and talk to the media himself.
