Rohan Gandotra Pushes Limits for ‘Nasha’, Endures Intense Scene Shoot

Actor Rohan Gandotra is leaving no stone unturned for his upcoming project Nasha, a gripping love triangle that dives deep into betrayal, heartbreak, and emotional turmoil. Starring alongside Sunny Leone, the story unfolds a complex relationship where love takes a dark turn, leaving Gandotra’s character shattered after being betrayed.

What truly sets Nasha apart is the intensity that Rohan brings to his role — particularly in one of the project’s most demanding scenes. The sequence required him to continuously smoke in a single take while simultaneously performing a physically taxing act involving self-inflicted burning. Achieving the right emotional pitch, body language, and visual aesthetic wasn’t easy — it took multiple retakes to get everything just right.

The challenge wasn’t just about performance; it came at a personal cost. Smoking repeatedly for several takes began to affect his health, making the shoot even more exhausting. Yet, Rohan remained committed, pushing through discomfort and physical strain to ensure the scene translated powerfully on screen.

Sharing his experience, Rohan Gandotra said, “It was one of the most physically and emotionally draining scenes I’ve ever done. There were moments when my body was giving up, but as an actor, you have to stay true to the emotion. I wanted the audience to feel the pain, not just see it. That required pushing my own limits, and I gave it everything I had.”

By the end of it, the effort paid off. The final shot not only met the director’s vision but also showcased Gandotra’s dedication to his craft — raw, real, and unfiltered.

Nasha promises to be an emotionally charged narrative, and if this behind-the-scenes glimpse is anything to go by, audiences can expect a performance that is both intense and unforgettable.
