Salman Khan Begins Shooting for 'Battle of Galwan' in Leh, Pictures with Soldiers Go Viral

Salman Khan has officially kicked off filming for his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, and pictures from the shoot location in Leh have already started making waves online.
Several photos circulating on social media show the actor posing with Indian Army soldiers in the picturesque outdoor setting. In one heartwarming image, Salman is seen alongside a soldier and his family, smiling warmly as the soldier cradles his child. Dressed in an olive-green T-shirt, cargo pants, sturdy shoes, and dark sunglasses, Salman looked ready for the rugged shoot.
A behind-the-scenes video from the set shows tents being pitched and crew members preparing the location. Salman is briefly seen sitting inside his car as the team gets ready for the day’s shoot.
The actor recently confirmed the start of the shoot with a post on social media, sharing a photo of himself behind a clapperboard marked with the film’s title. He captioned it simply: “#BattleOfGalwan.”
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China. Speaking to PTI earlier, Salman described the project as “physically demanding,” noting that the action sequences, high-altitude shooting conditions, and freezing water scenes in Ladakh make it particularly challenging.
Salman was last seen in Sikandar, released in March, directed by AR Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prateik Smita Patil. He is also currently hosting Bigg Boss 19, which premiered on August 24 on JioHotstar.
