Shah Rukh Khan Injured on Set of 'King', Film Shoot Delayed

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has hit a temporary pause in the shooting of his upcoming film King after sustaining an injury during the filming of an intense action sequence in Mumbai. Sources close to the production have confirmed that while the injury isn’t serious, the actor has been advised to take a month-long break to fully recover.
The incident occurred at a studio in Mumbai during a high-energy sequence for the Siddharth Anand directorial. The injury, described as muscular in nature, caused brief panic on set. However, insiders reassured fans that Shah Rukh is doing well and there’s no major cause for concern.
“He was injured during the shoot in Mumbai, but the exact details are being kept under wraps for now. While it’s not a serious issue, it’s also not being taken lightly,” a source revealed. “Shah Rukh has flown to the US for treatment and has been advised to rest for at least a month.”
As a result, the filming schedule planned for July and August has been cancelled. The next leg of shooting is now expected to resume after September, once Khan has made a full recovery. “He’s been told to take it slow and return to the set only when he’s completely ready,” the source added.
We’ve reached out to his manager, Pooja Dadlani, for an official statement, but she has yet to respond. However, her recent Instagram story suggests she may currently be in New York.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter, Suhana Khan, along with veteran actor Saurabh Shukla. Though the full cast hasn’t been officially announced, reports suggest that Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Anil Kapoor could also be part of the ensemble.
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat recently confirmed his involvement in the film. In an interview with Lallantop, he shared how he came on board: “SRK sir had been thinking about this for a while, from what I know. But Siddharth Anand was hesitant since the role is small, especially after Jewel Thief. But Khan saab said, ‘I’ll talk to him.’ And really, who could say no to him?”
King is currently in production, with its release date yet to be finalized.
