‘Would You Really Enjoy My Wedding Night?’: Salman Khan’s Cheeky Reply to Marriage Questions

Salman Khan has long been dubbed India’s “most eligible bachelor”—a title he’s somehow held for nearly four decades. Now 59, the superstar still shows no signs of settling down, and he’s more than happy to poke fun at the constant curiosity around his bachelor status.

During a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Salman was once again in the hot seat, as host Kapil Sharma jokingly asked if he’s planning to find a girlfriend now that fellow actor Aamir Khan reportedly has someone new in his life.

Salman’s response? A firm no.

The banter didn’t stop there. Co-guest Archana Puran Singh chimed in, asking if he wasn’t tired of fielding the same question year after year. But Salman, as always, had a sharp-witted comeback.

“I always ask—how does it benefit you if I get married?” he said with a smirk. “Are you really getting so much joy out of imagining my wedding night? What am I doing that makes you so happy to see me ‘ruined’?”

The actor then turned reflective, blaming modern relationships' lack of patience and willingness to compromise as reasons he’s stayed single. “People break up over things like snoring or sleeping positions,” he noted. “And divorce? That’s one thing. But then she also takes half your money!” he added, half-jokingly.

Salman admitted that at this stage in his life, starting over isn't an option he’s excited about.

Over the years, the actor’s love life has often made headlines. He famously dated Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai, and Katrina Kaif. He reportedly came closest to tying the knot with Sangeeta, but called off the wedding at the last minute. Today, Aishwarya is married to Abhishek Bachchan, and Katrina to Vicky Kaushal.

On the professional front, Salman was last seen in Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna. However, the film fell short of expectations at the box office.
