PNG prices will also increase

From Monday, not only CNG but also domestic gas PNG will become costlier by Re 1 per standard cubic meter in the capital Lucknow. PNG will now be available at the rate of Rs 38.50 per standard cubic meter.

Expected prices to drop

The prices of domestic gas NG have also increased, while now once again the prices of CNG have been increased. Recently, the opposition had attacked the central government over the increased prices of petrol and diesel. After which the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel. The Uttar Pradesh government had also slashed the prices of petrol and diesel. After this fall, petrol and diesel were reduced by Rs 12 each in Uttar Pradesh. After the fall in the rates of petrol and diesel, it was being speculated that the government would also reduce the prices of PNG and CNG, but so far this has not happened, but the prices of CNG and PNG have been increased.

Inflation becomes election issue

In Uttar Pradesh, inflation remains an election issue ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. After reducing the prices of petrol and diesel, even though the government has tried to restrain the public on the issue of inflation, but there is displeasure among the public due to the increased prices of PNG and CNG. Along with this, there is resentment among the people due to the expensive rates of food items and vehicles. The opposition is constantly working to surround the Yogi Adityanath government on the issue of inflation.
