DPSRU School of Physiotherapy Shines at AIIMS International Conference INCPT 2023

The prestigious AIIMS New Delhi, renowned both nationally and internationally, hosted its annual INCPT conference, one of the oldest and most esteemed gatherings in the field of Physiotherapy. This year, held on 23rd and 24th December 2023, the conference witnessed a remarkable achievement by DPSRU School of Physiotherapy, bagging the coveted 'Best College Award' amidst stiff competition from colleges across the nation.

The award was a culmination of active participation by both students and faculty in various scientific activities at the conference. Notably, Prof. (Dr.) Richa H Rai received the 'Significant Contribution in the field of Physiotherapy' Award, while Dr. Parul Sharma secured a Bronze Medal in the Innovation Category. Dr. Sheetal Kalra served as an Invitee Speaker, presenting her research to the esteemed Physiotherapy Community. Dr. Jitender Munjal also participated in the conference.

Amongst the student attendees, PhD Scholar Hemlata Vats won a Gold Medal in the Senior Cardio research category, and BPT student Aditya bagged another Gold in the Junior paper category. The Poster presentation category saw Komal U Sawant (MPT Cardio) and Ishi Agarwal (BPT) win Bronze, while the Physiotherapy Quiz witnessed team Smriti, Ishika, and Tushar clinch the Gold medal. Urvashi Verma and Namrata Gaba were also recognized for their artistic talents, receiving Gold and Silver medals respectively in the drawing competition.

This day of accolades for DPSRU serves as a testament to the significant contributions of its Physiotherapy community on an international platform, bringing immense pride to the University. Under the guidance of Hon'ble VC Prof Ramesh K Goyal and esteemed registrar Prof Harvinder Popli, DPSRU remains deeply committed to scientific development and community service. Notably, students also actively participated in various pre and post-conference courses to further enrich their knowledge.
