10 COVID Cases Reported in Thane, Maharashtra Over 3 Days

A small spike in COVID-19 cases, with ten new infections reported over the last three days, has seen in Thane city. In response, health officials have increased surveillance to stay ahead of the situation. While the rise in cases has prompted some concern, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has urged residents not to worry. Officials confirmed that all those affected have only mild symptoms and are safely recovering at home.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the civic body urged people to stay calm and continue following basic precautions. TMC Commissioner Saurabh Rao has instructed hospitals and the health department to remain vigilant and prepared to handle any further cases that may arise.
A high-level review meeting was held on Friday to assess the preparedness of the city’s healthcare infrastructure. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Chetna Nitil confirmed that all current patients are stable and being treated at home. “A sufficient stock of medicines has been maintained at all health centres, and COVID-19 testing kits are readily available,” she said.
To further support any potential increase in cases, a 19-bed COVID-19 ward has been set up at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Aniruddha Malgaonkar noted that RT-PCR testing facilities are also available at the hospital.
Reassuring the public, the TMC emphasized that the situation is under control. “The health machinery is fully prepared, and constant monitoring is underway,” the civic body stated.
