2027 UP Polls Will Decide State’s Future and Safeguard Constitution: Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav today said that the 2027 Assembly elections will be all about protecting the future of Uttar Pradesh and the Constitution.
Addressing SP workers in Saifai, Akhilesh gave them clear guidelines regarding the assembly elections and said the coming polls will be much more than a mere change of power, as it would also be about protecting the future of UP and the Constitution.
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Saifai was awash in Samajwadi colours as thousands of workers, leaders and office-bearers from across the state gathered at the party office.
He said the SP's struggle is against forces that seek to weaken democracy and the Constitution. It is essential for the formation of an SP government to protect the rights of the people and address real issues.
He said the upcoming elections will determine the direction and condition of the state, and therefore, every worker must fulfil their role with full responsibility.
Regarding the upcoming Panchayat elections, Akhilesh said that the SP will not field its own candidates, but the organisation's role at the district Panchayat level will be decisive. He said that this election is an opportunity to strengthen the organisation and increase communication with the public.
He urged workers to strengthen the organisation at every level, reach out to the public and spread the socialist ideology among the masses. Akhilesh, who arrived in Saifai from Lucknow at 4 pm yesterday, was at the party office today from 10-30 am to 4 pm.
During this time, he personally met MPs, MLAs, former office bearers and workers from various districts of the state. All prominent members of the Samajwadi family were present at the party office. National General Secretary Prof Ramgopal Yadav, National General Secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav, MP Dharmendra Yadav, MP Aditya Yadav and MLA Tej Pratap Yadav welcomed workers from across the state and extended Diwali greetings.
