‘Abuse of mother’ row: NDA announces Bihar bandh on September 4

The 'abuse of mother' controversy is continuously gaining momentum in Bihar politics. On this issue, the NDA has called for a Bihar bandh from 7 am to 12 noon on September 4. The NDA has made it clear that emergency services and rail operations will not be affected by this bandh so that the common people do not face inconvenience. An appeal has been made to keep the bandh completely peaceful.

The NDA has strongly opposed the use of abusive language against a mother from the platform of Congress and RJD in Darbhanga. BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal said that mother is the form of God and insulting her from such a platform shames the entire Bihar. Questioning the silence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, he said that till now no one has even expressed regret, which is unfortunate.

To make this bandh special, the BJP Mahila Morcha and the women units of the NDA will take the lead. Jaiswal said that insult to mothers and sisters will not be tolerated at any cost and women will make this bandh successful. He claims that this bandh will become a symbol of the fight for the honor of women.

JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha said that the way the leaders of the Mahagathbandhan have insulted a mother from the open stage is a blot on democracy. He said that the women of Bihar will definitely respond to this. Traffic will not be disrupted during the bandh and it will be organised peacefully.

The leaders of the NDA constituent parties targeted the opposition and said that abuse has been a part of their political culture. Raju Tiwari said that their thinking has been exposed again by this incident.

The NDA has made it clear that all its constituent parties will support this bandh and are engaged in making it successful. This bandh, led by the Mahila Morcha, is not only a direct attack on the opposition in Bihar politics but also a sign of the NDA's unity and its aggressive strategy on the issue of women's respect.
