AICC Appoints District Observers in Himachal as Congress Begins Restructuring Under Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) today issued a fresh organisational directive for Himachal Pradesh, appointing district-wise observers to supervise the selection of District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents under the ongoing Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
The order, signed by AICC in-charge for Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, Rajani Patil, puts in place a complete oversight structure across all 12 districts with immediate effect.
According to the communiqué, Chamba district will be overseen by Gokul Butail, Devinder Jaggi and Saurav Chauhan, while the team for Kangra comprises Asha Kumar, Vikender Dharmani and Devender Negi. Observers named for Lahaul–Spiti include Devinder Shyam, Vikas Kapoor and Rohit Vats Dhami. Kullu has been assigned Kaul Singh Thakur, Ramesh Chauhan and Chandershekhar Sharma.
For Mandi, the observers are Ram Lal Thakur, Maheshwar Chauhan and Rajiv Kimta. The Hamirpur panel consists of Naresh Chauhan, Satpal Rajjada and Jiwan Thakur, while Una will be supervised by Prakesh Chaudhary, Ajay Mahajan and Vivek Kumar.
On the second page of the order, Bilaspur has been placed under the supervision of Sunil Sharma, Champa Thakur and Amit Bharmouri; Solan under Kirmesh Jung, Adarsh Sood and Satya Jeet Negi; and Sirmaur under Ritesh Kaprete, Sohan Lal and Surender Sethi. For Shimla, the observers appointed are Ganga Ram Masafir, Shashi Thakur and Prem Kaushal, while the Kinnaur team comprises Kehar Singh Khachi, Chander Prabha Negi and Mahender Stan.
These appointments are part of the organisational restructuring ahead of the upcoming political cycle. Sources stated that observers will begin ground-level consultations shortly to finalise DCC presidents.
Meanwhile, the search for the new Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief appears to be nearing conclusion. Party sources indicated that Rahul Gandhi has short-listed one of the contenders. The race involved Kuldeep Rathore, Vinay Kumar, Vinod Sultanpuri, Suresh Kumar and Ashish Butail, with Rathore and Kumar emerging as the leading candidates. Indications suggest that the state may soon have a new HPCC president, with Sirmaur district likely to gain prominence in the final decision.
