Ambani Wedding Causes Hotel Booking Surge in Mumbai

The celebration of the Ambani family is in the news right now. The country's biggest industrialist Mukesh Ambani's younger son Anant Ambani is getting married to Radhika Merchant on July 12. Due to this high profile wedding, Mumbai is witnessing a lot of busyness right now. All the wedding rituals and pre-wedding ceremonies are happening in Mumbai itself, due to which its effect is also being seen on the hotel bookings.

Due to Anant-Radhika's wedding, there is a tremendous booking in the big hotels located in Mumbai's major real estate center Bandra-Kurla Complex. All the rooms of the two main hotels located here have been booked. According to travel and hotel websites, all the properties of these two main hotels have been sold. Let us tell you, BKC is a major real estate center of Mumbai, where the wedding ceremonies of the Ambani family are going to take place.

According to a Hindustan Times report, a hotel in the area is offering rooms at Rs 91,350 per night, against the usual rate of Rs 13,000 per night. These rates are for the function on July 14 that will be held at BKC. Anant-Radhika's wedding will take place on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai. While there is no official confirmation on where the guests will stay, hotel rates in BKC and surrounding areas have shot up.

On travel booking websites, room rates in BKC on July 9 are ₹10,250 per night plus taxes. July 15 is shown as ₹16,750 plus taxes and July 16 is shown as ₹13,750 plus taxes. The website does not have any rooms available from July 10 to July 14.

The hotel website shows that all rooms are booked for these dates. Many hotel websites have issued notices like 'Sorry, this accommodation is no longer available for the dates requested on our website' for bookings from July 10 to July 11. However, rooms are available on these dates in other 5 star hotels like Grand Hyatt, Taj Santacruz, Taj Bandra and St. Regis.
