Another Air India Flight Cancelled, This Time on the Delhi–Paris Route

Just a few days after the Ahmedabad plane incident, Air India has cancelled yet another international flight—this time from Delhi to Paris.
Flight AI 143, which was supposed to take off on June 17, was cancelled after routine pre-flight checks flagged an issue with the aircraft. While the airline didn’t go into detail, a spokesperson said the problem is currently being looked into. However, due to restrictions on night-time landings at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the flight couldn’t be delayed and was ultimately called off.
Passengers were informed that the airline is offering hotel accommodation, full refunds, or the option to reschedule their tickets at no extra cost. The return flight from Paris to Delhi (AI 142), scheduled for the same day, has also been cancelled as a result.
This was the second Air India flight cancelled on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, Flight AI 159 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick was grounded. According to officials at Ahmedabad airport, the cancellation wasn’t due to a technical glitch, but because of airspace restrictions and additional precautionary checks that delayed aircraft turnaround times. The aircraft, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, wasn’t available in time for the flight.
Air India assured passengers that safety remains their top priority and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
