In addition, a decision has been taken to recruit 13,500 Home Guards and 17,000 SAP personnel through the Paramilitary Force. The minister also announced that special reservations will be given to Agniveers in Bihar Police recruitments.
The government has announced the formation of "Police Didi" to ensure the safety of female students. Samrat Choudhary stated that the "Abhaya Brigade," which operates along the lines of the Anti-Romeo Squad, will now be known as "Police Didi." Their primary role will be to provide security to female students in schools and colleges. To this end, the government has initiated the process of purchasing 1,500 scooters and 2,500 motorcycles. Additionally, "Jeevika Didi's Kitchen" will be established in all 40 police lines, modeled after Patna.
Discussing prison reforms, the Home Minister stated that all prisons in Bihar will now be monitored online through CCTV cameras. The government will have complete digital information on who is visiting the inmates.
To further strengthen security, the construction of a new high-security prison in the state and a new Mukti Prison (open jail) in Bhagalpur has been announced. He proudly stated that Bihar is the first state with the highest number of prisoners completing their education inside prisons.
The government will now leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reduce the damage caused by fire incidents in Bihar. Samrat Choudhary stated that "AI-based Fire Prediction Automation Phase-2" is being implemented, which will provide advance warning of fires. A special "Fire Engineering Cell" will also be formed for this purpose.
