Bihar Concludes Three-Week Training Program for District Art and Culture Officers in Patna

The three-week departmental training program organized by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar for District Art and Culture Officers concluded at Dashrath Manjhi Shram Niyojan Study Institute, Patna.

The ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp, which was jointly inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Mrs. N. Vijayalakshmi and Secretary of the Department, Mr. Pranav Kumar Rai and other senior officials.

In her address, Mrs. Vijayalakshmi congratulated all the District Art and Culture Officers and said that it is a matter of joy that now the cultural talents of the far-flung areas of the state will be able to make a mark at the national and international level. She emphasized the need for coordination of folk tradition and classical arts and inspired them to transfer the cultural heritage to the coming generations.

Department Secretary Mr. Pranav Kumar Rai, while addressing the officials, said that after the three-week intensive training period, their knowledge would definitely have increased significantly, which would prove helpful in the effective implementation of departmental schemes at the district level.

Certificates and mementos were given to all the district art and culture officials in the ceremony. The trainees presented the things they learned during the training in groups through PPT. Ms. Sukanya of Munger gave an impressive presentation on "Connecting youth through arts", Ms. Kirti Alok of Patna on "Role of museum in changing environment", Mr. Chandan of Darbhanga on "Cultural and economic development through films", Richa Verma on "Folk music of Bihar: from preservation to innovation" and Mr. Shyam on "One art in every home".

On this occasion, cultural work director Mrs. Ruby also encouraged the officials and said that now these trained officers will confidently run the departmental work smoothly in the district.

On the closing occasion, the vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Anil Kumar Singh.

Internal Financial Advisor from the department Mr. Rana Sujit Kumar Tuntun, Special Officer Ms. Kahkashan, Film Consultant of Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Mr. Arvind Ranjan Das, Public Relations Officer of Sports Department Nupur Jha along with a large number of officers and employees were present throughout the program.
