Bihar Dairy Secretary Shirsat Kapil Ashok Nominated to NDDB Board

Shri Shirsat Kapil Ashok, Secretary, Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department, Government of Bihar, and Co-Chairman, COMFED, has been nominated by the Central Government as a Director on the Board of Directors of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
The Chairman, COMFED's representation on the NDDB Board will further accelerate policy compliance, better coordination, and effective implementation between NDDB, COMFED, and the Department of Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Government of Bihar. It will also strengthen state-level coordination with the schemes of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India. This will significantly contribute to increasing the income of livestock farmers in the state and improving their quality of life.
Shri Ashok's representation is expected to provide a new direction to the dairy sector in Bihar and the country. His experience and leadership will foster new possibilities in the areas of farmer empowerment, innovation, cooperative organizational development, and milk production.
It is worth noting that the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has played a significant role in strengthening the cooperative dairy movement in the country and the state of Bihar since the White Revolution. With the guidance and support of the NDDB, dairy cooperatives in Bihar have reached new heights.
Under the Bihar government's ambitious scheme, "Saat Nischay-3," a goal has been set to establish milk production committees in every village. This initiative is expected to significantly increase milk production in the state. It will also significantly contribute to achieving the goals of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India's ambitious scheme, "White Revolution 2.0," and set new records.
