Bihar Deputy CM Pushes to Replace 'Mughal Era' Agricultural Terms with Indigenous Language

Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister -cum- Agriculture Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha Ji said that the word Sharadiya is the simple language of Kharif, the word Vasantiya is the simple language of Rabi and the word Garam is the simple language of summer crop. Our farmers generally use their mother tongue and constellations according to the time of harvesting.
Shri Sinha said that he will appeal to the Hon'ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan Ji through a letter that we should adopt the language used by our farmers and we should now leave the Mughal era language because it weakens our heritage.
He said that under the leadership of the country's successful Prime Minister and the popular Chief Minister of Bihar, we will move forward in one direction with the mantra of 'One Country, One Agriculture, One Team' and will promote cultural heritage along with developing agriculture.
The Honorable Minister said that today a district level workshop is being organized in all the districts of the state where the districts are being informed about the target of coverage of autumn crops, status of inputs, arrangement of seeds, centrally sponsored and state schemes. This workshop has been named Sharadiya (Crop) 2025 Mahabhiyan cum Training so that all the officers and workers use the language of the farmer.
