Bihar Education Secretary Plants Tree on World Environment Day, Urges Schools to Go Green

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Government of Bihar, planted a tree on JP Ganga Path in Patna and spread the message of environmental protection. On this occasion, he extended his heartfelt wishes of World Environment Day to all the students and teachers of the state.

He called upon the students and teachers to actively contribute in making all the schools and colleges of Bihar green and clean. He also said, "Celebrate this season of tree plantation like a festival, because this time is most suitable for plantation. Plant as many trees as possible and fulfill your responsibility towards the environment."

Dr. S. Siddharth said that the Education Department is committed to develop a sense of sensitivity and responsibility towards nature in the students by linking environmental awareness with the education system.
