Bihar Engineering University Campus in Patna Nears Completion, Set to Open by April

The construction of the Bihar Engineering University, being built by the Building Construction Department, has reached its final stages. The university, located in Patna's Mithapur area, is expected to be fully completed by April. Finishing work is currently underway and is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeframe. ₹66.92 crore has been approved for its construction, located on an approximately 5-acre plot.

The university's main building has been developed as a multi-story building, keeping in mind modern amenities and requirements. The Dean's office is located on the ground floor. The Registrar's office, a store room, a cafeteria, a finance office, a double-height entry area, and toilets have been provided, providing convenient facilities to students, faculty, and staff.

The first floor of the building houses a meeting hall, the Vice Chancellor's office, and an evaluation center. The second floor houses seven office rooms, an evaluation center, six store rooms, and four scanning rooms. The third floor houses a store and scanning room, along with five record rooms.

Another evaluation center, two large halls, a guest house, and caretaker accommodation are also provided on the fourth floor. The Secretary stated that the Bihar Engineering University will be equipped with modern technology. Work is being completed with timeliness and high quality.

Kumar Ravi, Secretary of the Building Construction Department, stated that the construction of the Bihar Engineering University is in its final stages. Finishing work is underway and will be completed soon. This will provide a strong platform for the technical education system in Bihar, bringing greater transparency and strength to the operation and educational quality of engineering institutions.
