Bihar IAS Bhawan Hosts Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day with Civil Service Officers

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, a special blood donation camp is being organized at IAS Bhawan, Patna from 9 am on June 14 with the joint efforts of IAS, IPS and IFS Association and active cooperation of IAS, IPS and IFS Wives Association.

The camp will be jointly inaugurated by Chief Secretary of Bihar Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Director General of Police Shri Vinay Kumar and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Prabhat Kumar Gupta at 9:15 am. On this occasion, former Chief Secretary of Bihar and Jharkhand Shri V.S. Dubey (Retired IAS Officer) will be present as the Chief Guest.

It is worth noting that this event is being organized continuously since the year 2021. Its purpose is not only to spread awareness about blood donation, but also to promote the spirit of service and cooperation in the society.

Chief Secretary Shri Amrit Lal Meena has appealed to all the officers and their families to encourage the "Raktveers" by donating blood. He informed that there will be special cooperation of Maa Blood Center in this camp. Director General of Police, Shri Vinay Kumar, termed blood donation as "Mahadaan" (great donation) and called it the greatest form of service to humanity. He said that all officers should participate in this noble cause and also inspire their colleagues of the departments. Appreciating the active participation of IAS, IPS and IFS Wives Associations, he said that this event is an inspiration for the society. At the same time, he also described the cooperation of Maa Blood Center as important.

Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Shri Deepak Kumar said that the situation of blood donation had become very bad during the Covid period. At such a time, the IAS Association started this camp in collaboration with IPS and IFS Association. Today it has become a big social campaign. He appealed to all to participate in this event and make it a success.
