Bihar Launches Statewide Textbook Distribution Campaign for Government Schools from April 28

For the new academic session 2025-26, textbooks will be distributed to the students in the government schools of Bihar by running a special campaign from 28 April 2025 to 2 May 2025. In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth has issued instructions to all the District Education Officers.

As per the instructions of Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth, the necessary textbooks from class 1 to 8 have been delivered to all the schools by Bihar State Textbook Publishing Corporation Limited. Now it has to be ensured that these books reach every student on time and in a systematic manner. For this, a systematic distribution ceremony will be organized in all the schools across the state.

Dr. S. Siddharth has given clear instructions that the guardians, parents and other public representatives of the students should also be invited to the distribution ceremony so that transparency is maintained in the distribution process. During the ceremony, books should be distributed to the students in the presence of their parents.

Separate documentation of the distribution program will also be done and clean and beautiful photographs of the ceremony will be compiled at the district level. Along with this, it has also been instructed that the report of daily distribution should be compiled at the district level and sent to the textbook office by 5 pm.

Along with this, orders have also been given to pay special attention to the quality of textbooks during distribution. If the book is not as per the quality standard, then its immediate information should be sent to the district headquarters and Bihar State Text Book Publishing Corporation Limited, Patna so that immediate action can be taken.

The Education Department has given clear instructions that this special campaign should be made successful with full seriousness and commitment so that all the necessary study material can be made available to the students at the beginning of the education session itself.
